about Global Internet Alliance

NIFTY's principle for its globalization

The advent of the Internet accelerate the borderless society especially in network connectibility and technology.
However, NIFTY thinks there are still big issues like the difference of cultures, habits and languages, which is very important and be regarded.
Therefore, when NIFTY planned its globalization, it did not choose a way to bring it's Japanese business method into the rest of the world.
So, it is going to make its global expansion by partnering with major ISPs in the countries and regions of the world and developing it.
This is the "Global Internet Alliance" that NIFTY is promoting.
It was announced on October 31, 2000 in Tokyo.
